What personal information we collect
Information you give us through the contact form. If you use the contact form on this website, we ask for your name, phone number, email address, the service you are interested in and details of your project. When you submit the form, your enquiry opens in WhatsApp so you can send it to us. Your details are only sent to us when you choose to send that WhatsApp message.
Information you give us through the quote request form. Our "Get a Free Quote" form is provided by Jotform. The information you type into that form (such as your name, contact details and project information) is processed by Jotform on our behalf and sent to us so we can respond to your request.
Information you give us directly. If you contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp, we keep a record of your name, contact details and what you discussed so we can respond to you and, if you go ahead, manage your project.
Technical information. When you visit this website, our hosting platform records standard technical information (such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested) in server logs. This is used only to operate and keep the website secure. We do not use any analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this website, and we do not run a newsletter or marketing list.
How and why we use your information
We use your personal information to:
- respond to your enquiry, question or quote request;
- arrange site visits and provide quotations for your project;
- communicate with you about a project we are carrying out for you; and
- operate this website securely.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to contact you.
The legal bases we rely on
- Steps before entering a contract — when you make an enquiry or request a quote, we use your information to respond and prepare a quotation.
- Legitimate interests — to keep the website secure and to keep records of enquiries and projects for our business.
- Contract performance — where we are carrying out work for you, we use your information to deliver and administer that work.
How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and, if a project goes ahead, for as long as needed to administer and complete the work and to deal with any follow-up matters such as guarantees. If an enquiry does not lead to work, we delete the details when they are no longer useful to you or us. We do not keep personal information indefinitely.
Who we share your information with
We share personal information only with the providers that help this website and our quotes work:
- Jotform — processes the information submitted through the quote request form as our form provider. See Jotform's own privacy policy for how Jotform handles data.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — if you choose to send your enquiry or message via WhatsApp, it is handled under WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.
- Our website hosting and storage providers — the companies that host this website and its images process limited technical information to keep the site running and secure.
We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers or anyone else.
International transfers
Some of the providers listed above may process personal information outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards provided by the provider (such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or UK Extension to the EU data transfer framework) so that your information remains protected.
Your data protection rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- be told what personal information we hold about you (access);
- have incorrect information corrected;
- have your personal information deleted in certain circumstances;
- object to or restrict our use of your information; and
- complain to the regulator (see below).
To use any of these rights, contact Mike on 07824 341707 or at cutaboveccltd@hotmail.com. We will respond within one month.
Complaining to the ICO
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep your personal information secure, including using reputable providers to run this website. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
